League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series Championship will not include teams representing MENA

Unfortunately, despite all efforts, we will not see representatives from the MENA region at the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series Championship in Stockholm due to visa issues. It is sad news not only for the players from this region but also for the fans. Due to this, we are changing both our tournament format and prize money distribution.

The teams participating in the group stage of the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series Championship will therefore not be divided into two groups but will instead face each other in one group of five teams. Teams will play the group phase in a single round-robin system with matches in a best-of-one format. After all the games have been played, the team with the lowest points will be eliminated from the tournament.

We will see the top four of the group stage in a single-elimination ladder in the playoffs. It is worth noting that the first-place team from the group stage will have the right to choose its opponent in the semifinals, which are to be decided in a best-of-five series. The finalists will then battle each other in a thrilling best-of-seven series for the lion's share of over €150 000 and the right to name themselves the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series champions.

Updated Tournament Schedule:
