A lot’s been happening in the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series! After two epic monthly cups in June & July, we’re ready to share some more details about the offline finals event later this year.
What’s the format of Finals?
A total of six teams will be invited to the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series Finals later this year. These teams qualify for the offline finals event based on the points they’ve earned playing in our monthly events in June, July, and August. So, if you’re keen to see your team compete in the Wild Rift: Origin Series Finals, then there’s one thing to do - keep on playing in (and winning) our monthly cups!
How will slots be allocated per group?
While future events have the option of factoring in the relative performance of groups when determining slot distribution, the groups have not yet interacted within the Origin Series ecosystem. For the first League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series Finals, we’re aiming for the best representation of teams based on the participation in each group. Over the course of our monthly events, Group A has consistently been the group with the highest number of registrations and participants, followed by Group B, and then Group C. That’s why for the Wild Rift: Origin Series Finals, Group A will have 3 teams attending, Group B will have 2 teams, and Group C will have 1 team. The goal is to identify the best team in Europe, CIS, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey. Allocating slots on this basis aims for the fairest distribution possible while creating the most competitive scenario.
